The step up ring of the VFFOTO magnetic system is made of anodised aluminium and steel. It allows the use of 58 mm diameter magnetic filters on an 49 mm diameter lens without an additional adapter or UV filter.
Use: Screw the magnetic reduction ring into the filter thread on the lens (can stay permanently), it serves as an adapter for VFFOTO magnetic filters.

Please note: When the magnetic step-up ring is fitted, it is usually not possible to use the original lens hood (it will increase the diameter of the lens end). For this reason, we have also developed a custom lens hood that is suitable for ultra-wide and wide-angle lenses (14-35mm FF). More information can be found HERE. The step up ring is fitted with a retaining ring that prevents the lens hood from moving towards the camera body.
