It gently diffuses bright highlights, softens tonal transitions and slightly reduces contrast while preserving natural rendering and a high level of detail. Ideal for portraits, weddings, video, urban scenes and night photography.

Differences between filter types
White Mist or Black Mist?
Both filters soften highlights, but each produces a different look. Compare White Mist and Black Mist at the same strength of 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2.
White Mist creates a brighter, airier diffusion of highlights, while Black Mist better preserves deep blacks and overall image contrast.

The filter changes the character of the image as you shoot. The strength of the effect depends on the filter strength, scene contrast and the presence of prominent light sources. Stronger versions, especially 1/2, can produce a very pronounced effect in backlit scenes or at night.

VFFOTO hybrid system
A screw-in and magnetic filter in one.
You can screw the filter directly into the lens thread or attach it magnetically to an adapter or another compatible VFFOTO filter.
The front magnetic surface allows you to attach another VFFOTO hybrid or magnetic filter of the same diameter. White Mist can be combined with a CPL, ND or variable ND filter, for example. When stacking multiple filters on wide-angle lenses, however, always check for vignetting.

Compatibility
Hybrid White Mist filters and lens hoods
With a hybrid White Mist filter, checking the thread diameter alone is not enough. The space inside the lens hood also matters, as some hoods fit very closely.
Sufficient clearance
If the hood provides enough clearance around the filter, the hybrid White Mist filter can be used as usual.
Close-fitting hoods
On some lenses, the hood may come into contact with the enlarged outer diameter of the hybrid frame.
Check the fit in practice
This is not a filter defect. Compatibility depends on the design of the particular lens and hood, and the space available around the filter.
With the hybrid system, the safest approach is always to test the actual combination of lens, filter and lens hood in practice.
Important notice
Protecting your lens with a hybrid filter attached.
The VFFOTO hybrid filter is not compatible with the lens manufacturer's original cap. To safely cover your lens with a hybrid White Mist filter attached, use the compatible VFFOTO 95 mm magnetic protective cap with grip.
