VFFOTO hybrid system

You can use the hybrid CPL filter as a classic screw-in polarizing filter or as part of the VFFOTO magnetic system. In screw-in mode it has a lower overall height; in magnetic mode it allows fast mounting and filter changes in the field. The CPL filter can also serve as a base to which you can add another compatible VFFOTO filter as needed.

Optical structure of the VFFOTO NANO-PRO TC CPL filter.

The TrueColour polarizing film is placed between two sheets of ASAHI optical glass. The optical assembly is complemented by a total of 16 premium anti-reflective layers and nano layers that help reduce reflections on the filter surface, make cleaning easier and support a stable imaging result.

Practical use and compatibility

Wide-angle focal lengths, the magnetic system and lens hoods in one overview.

You can use the VFFOTO hybrid CPL filter in both screw-in and magnetic modes. This lets you choose the right solution according to the lens, focal length and the way you work in the field.

VFFOTO recommendation For very wide shots, it is advisable to prefer screw-in use, which has a lower overall height. The magnetic method is especially useful where fast mounting and convenient filter changes are important.
16 mm+ focal length full-frame equivalent – screw-in mode with a lower overall height and a lower risk of frame vignetting
24 mm+ focal length full-frame equivalent – magnetic use with vignetting checked according to the specific lens
35 mm+ focal length full-frame equivalent – more even polarizing effect on the sky and wide scenes

Wide-angle lenses

At very wide focal lengths, the polarizing effect in the sky may be uneven. This is not a filter defect, but a physical property of light polarization.

Lens hoods

With a hybrid CPL filter, it is not enough to check only the thread diameter. The space inside the hood is also important, because some hoods are structurally tight.

Practical check

We recommend testing the specific combination of lens, filter and lens hood before regular use.

For wide-angle lenses and lens hoods, we recommend simply checking the specific combination, because the space around the front element may differ from one lens to another.

The VFFOTO hybrid filter is not intended for use with the original lens cap from the lens manufacturer. To safely cover the lens with the hybrid CPL filter mounted, use the compatible VFFOTO 95 mm magnetic protective cap with grip.

Technologie VFFOTO NanoShield představuje pokročilou high-tech úpravu foto filtrů pomocí ultra tenkých nano vrstev, které výrazně omezují ulpívání vody, mastnoty i běžných nečistot. Díky speciální hydrofobní a oleofobní ochraně zůstává povrch filtru déle čistý, kapky vody snadno stékají, prach se méně zachytává a otisky prstů lze odstranit jediným setřením.

Technologie VFFOTO GlareShield Pro 16 představuje pokročilý systém 16 špičkových antireflexních vrstev — 8 z každé strany filtru — navržený pro maximální eliminaci nežádoucích odlesků a ztráty kontrastu při fotografování. Každá antireflexní vrstva je aplikována na optické sklo ve vakuových komorách pomocí vysoce přesné depoziční technologie magnetronového naprašování. Díky této metodě vznikají dokonale rovnoměrné nano vrstvy o tloušťce pouhých několika nanometrů, optimalizované pro potlačení odrazů v různých částech viditelného spektra.

Vícenásobný multicoating výrazně zvyšuje propustnost světla a pomáhá zachovat maximální ostrost, věrné podání barev a hluboký kontrast i v náročných světelných podmínkách, například proti slunci nebo při nočních scénách.
