VFFOTO 72 mm magnetic UV-IR cut filter GS

The unique VFFOTO magnetic UV IR-cut filter: 3in1 – UV and IR filter serves also as protection and adapter for other VFFOTO magnetic filters.

It is screwed to the end of the lens, to protect it just like any other UV filter. In addition, it can filter out long-wave IR radiation with high efficiency, which causes color shifts when using stronger ND filters. Finally, it serves as a holder for other filters (CPL, ND, etc.) of the VFFOTO magnetic system.

The UV IR-cut filter VFFOTO is recommended for long exposures in combination with strong ND flters. NOT SUITABLE AS A UNIVERSAL UV FILTER! (If used separately, without a strong ND filter, it shifts the colors significantly into blue-cyan shades.)

Features:
1) Absorbs ultraviolet rays, which often results in blurred and unclear photos in the outdoors. The UV filter is multi-purpose, suitable for landscape color as well as black & white photography. It also serves as a permanent protection of the lens from water, grease and scratches.
2) Cuts out invisible long-wave IR rays (wavelength from 750 nm), which causes a unwanted reddish tint in long-exposure photographs. It results in much more faithful colors, especially for landscape photos with dark ND filters.

Is UV IR-cut suitable, and when to prefer a classic UV filter?

Choose UV IR-cut filter for long-exposure photography (landscape, architecture, monuments, water, etc.) when using dark ND filters. It removes reddish tint and presents faithful colors.

For landscape photography: prefer to use a conventional UV filter.

VFFOTO magnetic UV IR-cut filters GOLDEN SERIES are developed, designed and assembled in the Czech Republic. The components are manufactured in China.
