The hybrid UV filter can be used as a classic screw-in filter or as part of the VFFOTO magnetic system. It can stay on the lens as clean permanent protection, and when needed you can quickly add another compatible VFFOTO filter in magnetic mode.

Compatibility

Hybrid UV filter and lens hoods

With the hybrid system, in addition to the thread diameter, it is also advisable to check the space inside the lens hood. Some hoods are very tight by design and may not provide enough room for the hybrid frame.

This is not a filter defect, but a matter of the specific lens and hood design. We recommend verifying the exact combination before use.

Recommendation: if you want to use the hybrid UV filter together with a lens hood, check the specific combination of lens, filter and hood. With very tight hoods, it may be more suitable to use the filter without the hood or choose the classic screw-in mounting method, depending on the situation.

Protection of the mounted filter

A compatible VFFOTO 72 mm magnetic protective cap with grip can be used on the mounted hybrid UV filter. It protects the front part of the filter when carrying the camera and working in the field.

Technologie VFFOTO NanoShield představuje pokročilou high-tech úpravu foto filtrů pomocí ultra tenkých nano vrstev, které výrazně omezují ulpívání vody, mastnoty i běžných nečistot. Díky speciální hydrofobní a oleofobní ochraně zůstává povrch filtru déle čistý, kapky vody snadno stékají, prach se méně zachytává a otisky prstů lze odstranit jediným setřením.

Nano vrstvy se nanášejí na optické sklo moderními metodami vakuového napařování (Physical Vapor Deposition) a iontového naprašování. Technologie VFFOTO GlareShield Pro 16 představuje pokročilý systém 16 špičkových antireflexních vrstev — 8 z každé strany filtru — navržený pro maximální eliminaci nežádoucích odlesků a ztráty kontrastu při fotografování. Každá antireflexní vrstva je aplikována na optické sklo ve vakuových komorách pomocí vysoce přesné depoziční technologie magnetronového naprašování. Díky této metodě vznikají dokonale rovnoměrné nano vrstvy o tloušťce pouhých několika nanometrů, optimalizované pro potlačení odrazů v různých částech viditelného spektra.

Technologie VFFOTO Protector využívá prémiové chemicky tvrzené optické sklo Corning, navržené pro maximální mechanickou odolnost při zachování špičkových optických vlastností. Sklo je vyráběno z vysoce čistého aluminosilikátu a následně chemicky tvrzeno procesem iontové výměny, při kterém jsou menší sodíkové ionty nahrazeny většími draslíkovými ionty. Tím vzniká silná kompresní vrstva výrazně zvyšující mechanickou odolnost proti poškrábání, nárazům i mikroprasklinám.

VFFOTO PureLight L41: Absolutní čistota obrazu.

Technologie VFFOTO PureLight L41 využívá speciální coatingový proces navržený pro precizní filtraci ultrafialového světla a dosažení maximálně čistého obrazu. Označení L41 znamená, že filtr efektivně blokuje 100 % UV záření do vlnové délky 400 nm, zatímco propustnost světla na úrovni 410 nm dosahuje přibližně 50 %. Díky této přesně definované spektrální charakteristice dochází k výraznému omezení nežádoucího UV závoje a optických artefaktů, které mohou negativně ovlivňovat kresbu detailů a barevné podání fotografie.

Jednotlivé nano vrstvy jsou optimalizovány pro selektivní filtraci konkrétních částí světelného spektra bez negativního vlivu na ostrost obrazu nebo světelnou propustnost ve viditelné oblasti.
