VFFOTO hybrid White Mist D 1/8 NANO-PRO filters are subtle diffusion filters designed for photography and video. They gently scatter light, soften contrast and create a delicate whitish glow around bright light sources. The result is a naturally softer, more atmospheric image created directly during shooting.
D 1/8 is the most subtle White Mist strength. It provides gentle, understated image softening that is most noticeable in backlit scenes and around lamps, car lights, candles and other bright points of light.
Compared with D 1/4 and D 1/2, it produces a less pronounced glow and retains more detail and original image contrast. D 1/8 is therefore suitable for situations where the filter should gently reduce an overly sharp digital look without allowing its effect to overpower the main subject.
Image softening is not an optical defect of the filter but its intended creative effect. If you prefer more noticeable softening and a stronger glow, choose D 1/4. For a more pronounced dreamy effect, D 1/2 is the more suitable choice.
The filter helps soften an overly sharp digital look, gently reduces the visibility of minor skin imperfections and gives photos and videos a subtle, natural atmosphere.
White Mist creates a lighter, whiter glow, scatters light more noticeably and reduces overall contrast more visibly. Black Mist also softens bright lights but better preserves deeper blacks and image contrast. White Mist D 1/8 is suitable for photographers and filmmakers looking for a subtle, natural and understated dreamy effect.
The hybrid design allows the filter to be used in two ways. It can be screwed directly into the lens filter thread or attached magnetically to a compatible VFFOTO hybrid adapter. The front of the filter remains magnetic, allowing additional compatible VFFOTO hybrid or magnetic filters to be attached.
High-quality optical glass, 16 anti-reflective layers and protective nano coatings help reduce unwanted reflections and make the filter easier to clean. The thin, lightweight frame is designed for convenient use when shooting photos and videos in the field.
How to choose the correct diameter: Choose the filter diameter according to the marking on your lens, such as Ø77, Ø82 or Ø95 mm.
